Where is the Best Place in Thailand to Learn Muay Thai?

In my opinion, the best place to learn muay thai in Thailand is definitely Phuket. More specifically, the camps in the Rawai and Chalong area tend to be the best and are also in the nicest location.

Lion Muay Thai Thailand

If you want to learn real and authentic muay thai, then Lion Gym is the place to go. This camp focuses on teaching muay thai with proper technique and organizes fights at the local stadiums a few times a week.

They have some very experienced trainers who all have at least 150 fights under their belt. The technique work and 1-on-1 support you get from the trainers can’t be matched.

However, this is a less complete camp and whilst there are bungalows, there is no restaurant on-camp. But, there are plenty of great places to eat in walking distance.

So overall, this is an awesome gym to go to if you are interested in fighting or even just learning muay thai with Thai-technique.
